Highly recommend this movie to everyone , is a must watch movies .After my check up , i plan to watch this movie , cause mummy do bought the DVD .She told me that this movie really nice and sad. She cry badly , cause is really sad. I do agree with her , cause i do cry badly just like what she say's . The song is so old school , is really relaxing and nice. After the movie , i do youtube search for all the english song in that movie. The rhyme is really nice , sound like Titanic at first , when u slowly listen to it , you will feel nice and relaxing .

The historic film "Echoes of the Rainbow" was shot on Wing Lee Street, a part of Sheung Wan District with original architecture dating from the 1960s. In the film's making-of documentary below (0:10), director Alex Law said that it was extremely difficult for him to scout a location for the film with an authentic 1960s atmosphere, since most of Hong Kong's old neighborhoods have been demolished.

Started a few months ago , but now i only get to watch this movie.I found it nice !
We are so lucky that we don't live and having that kind of life ,. Echoes of the Rainbow won the Crystal Bear award for Best Feature Film in the Generation category.Appreciate everything we had , old time , people's really been thru the hard time.
Simon Yam and Sandra Ng, who play a cobbler father and a happy-go-lucky mother. Through the elder brother's first romance, and the family's encounters with love, hope, failure, death and rebirth .The film is a family drama set in the 60s of Hong Kong, revolves around the lives of a working class family at that time. Based on Law’s childhood experience, the story intends to bring out the nostalgia of the Hong Kongers through the portrayal of those good old days.

the father (Simon Yam), a shoemaker who makes new shoes everyday but yet always wears a pair of broken
shoes, the optimistic and protective mother (Sandra Ng); the oldest son (Aarif Lee) - smart, athletic and
optimistic about the future and love and the younger son (Chung Siu To) who is curious, can recite his alphabet
backwards, and has the ability to make his parents laugh. As a family, they live in old Hong Kong marked by the
East-West cultural mix and the rich and the poor co-existing together. The film follows how the family faces life
challenges, ups and downs, and the tears within laughter, and the laughter within tears.
